The Ballston Common Mall plans to demolish the Macy’s Furniture Store and other parts of the building to construct a residential tower along Wilson Blvd, according to Arlington officials.
The new Ballston apartments called “393,” at the corner of Wilson and N. Randolph Street, are estimated to be complete by 2017, said Ballston Business Improvement District CEO Tina Leone.
Leone said the renovation would be critical for the branding of Ballston.
“The redevelopment is transformational,” Leone said. “Ballston is already great. I don’t even know how high it’s going to go.
