The powers that be for the new Petworth Safeway, located on Georgia Ave & Randolph St. NW, have decided to extend their hours to be open around the clock. To make sure they are able to service anyone at anytime, including people like me who are looking for a 2:00am bucket of Ben & Jerry’s, they have decided to be open 24 hours-a-day, 7 days a week. Only time will tell if this is a good decision, as quality usually takes a dive when quantity goes up. In the meantime, however, the sweets addict in all of us can rejoice at the added opportunity for ice cream runs to Petworth Safeway.
