We didn’t start 2018 in the market for a new house as we had just gotten engaged, but one came on the market in a neighborhood we were keeping tabs on so our friends who already live in that area got us in touch with their realtor – Libby Bish. We met at the house and after walking through, we knew this house wasn’t particularly for us, but Libby definitely was. We got onto her email distribution and could see what was on the market at the time, but what made this unique was what we couldn’t see. The next day she sent us a link with an off market house in the same area we were looking and went to visit immediately. (1+ acre lot in Falls Church) In the following week we walked through twice and knew this was where we were going to land. After that the process flew by; pre-qualfication, inspection, lender, survey, appraisal and eventual close all within 30 days. All of her vendors were easy to work with and are at the top of their respective industries. We are now moved in and love where we live. Libby had the connections to get us into this house before it reached the market for competition which kept it at a reasonable price for us and avoided a potential bidding war. It is bittersweet because we would work with her again in a heartbeat but probably won’t have to because she already helped us find a home for life – luckily we also made a new friend.
